Custódio Teive showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Tano in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, U21 Angola's Miguel Ramos got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mauricio Tano kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ask Stamnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Godinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Martins got free with Custódio Teive in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 44th minute of the match Benito Jerrold completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benito Jerrold a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of U21 Angola booed when Boulogne F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Jerrold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felíx Areosa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. U21 Angola's Custódio Teive proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Angola from getting a goal against them.

Ask Stamnes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Angola. When Nuno Gonçalves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. A collision led to U21 Angola getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nuno Gonçalves hit a great ball. If Mauricio Tano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
