Evaristo Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Botvidsson in the 21st minute of play. Cheetah Team's Jörgen Qvalfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Vasco in the 22nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, San Martin de Tucuman's Jörgen Qvalfeldt threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Guillelmo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 30 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Hammarbäck came free, but Evaristo Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Guillelmo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jörgen Qvalfeldt made a huge save. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Birger Löfgren hit a great ball. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Löfgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörgen Qvalfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Birjaio in the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Christian Guillelmo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jörgen Qvalfeldt was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Jörgen Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Vasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörgen Qvalfeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Guillelmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Björn Hammarbäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Giraldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Björn Hammarbäck ran back to his position shaking his head. Evaristo Giraldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rasmus Botvidsson in the 76th minute. Sergio Vasco scored 3-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörgen Qvalfeldt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evaristo Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Pettersson in the 83rd minute of play.
