Eric Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute, Ruben Zamora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Versa FC's Júlio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Gaitan in the 9th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Anselmo Gaitan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio César. Real Versa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Gaitan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 17th minute of the match Cássio Peixoto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Palacios showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardo Saborio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio César having to make a save. After 21 minutes of play, SAPRIMECKBEL's Anselmo Gaitan made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio César was left in no man's land by his defense there! SAPRIMECKBEL's Anselmo Gaitan got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 played minutes, SAPRIMECKBEL's Salvador Mata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio César came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SAPRIMECKBEL reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 55 minutes, Felipe Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Versa FC and the SAPRIMECKBEL players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Real Versa FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Sampaio. In the 60th match minute, SAPRIMECKBEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Soto to maneuver through the defense. Cássio Peixoto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eric Palacios. SAPRIMECKBEL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bernardo Saborio struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Júlio César didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAPRIMECKBEL. After a defensive mix-up in SAPRIMECKBEL's zone, Válter Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Palacios came out of the goal and Válter Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Real Versa FC made a substitution. Benedito Pontes replaced Mazinho Dias. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Gaitan in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio César saved Real Versa FC from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Válter Trigo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eric Palacios. The goal made the score 2-1. Válter Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Palacios having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SAPRIMECKBEL were victorious despite being under pressure from Real Versa FC for much of the match.
