Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Nova Iguaçu MZFC were awarded a corner. Dudu Queiroz went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner Dudu Queiroz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iulian Burtea quite easily take care of the ball. Agnaldo Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Iulian Burtea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, MIT Craiova's Mihai Cismaș got a free kick in the 13th minute. José Paulo Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Petrică Geantă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petrică Geantă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Gilmar Donato got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Agnaldo Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Iguaçu MZFC's protests and gave Agnaldo Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MIT Craiova booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iulian Burtea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agnaldo Vargas's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Diego Cerezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Iulian Burtea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Diego Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Iulian Burtea. MIT Craiova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 34 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Foltea. After a rather tough play, MIT Craiova's Cristi Foltea got a free kick in the 45th minute. Lauro Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Geantă in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petrică Geantă to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Alex Gherghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's João Vítor Vieira was substituted for Dudu Queiroz. A collision led to MIT Craiova getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alex Gherghe hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Agnaldo Vargas took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Iulian Burtea to make any attempt to save it. 67 minutes into the match, MIT Craiova's goalkeeper Iulian Burtea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agnaldo Vargas. In the 68th minute, Caetano Pires left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Petrică Geantă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iulian Burtea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agnaldo Vargas in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Cerezo. In the 86th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Agnaldo Vargas took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Burtea. Iulian Burtea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. When the match was over Nova Iguaçu MZFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MIT Craiova throughout the match.
