Jean Oltean charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean Oltean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Halkus Valkus BK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Andy Pihlwall hit a great ball. Amanda Ilestedt hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's Lucian Petriceanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcellus Baumann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Strömberg in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Tilea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Malte Stenman kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Halkus Valkus BK booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johny Oltean didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Rio's zone, Uku Vana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Tilea came out of the goal and Uku Vana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gigel Tilea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Fransson in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Radu Păvăloae hit a great ball. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Halkus Valkus BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcellus Baumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Păvăloae in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Alebom came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Rio's zone, Jonathan Strömberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Tilea came out of the goal and Jonathan Strömberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornel Poplăcan to make the kick off. In the last second Gigel Tilea throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sven Alebom in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 61 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Ionete. Jonathan Strömberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Gigel Tilea made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Poplăcan in the 65th minute of play forced Halkus Valkus BK's goalkeeper Marcellus Baumann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Halkus Valkus BK made a substitution. Oscar Lundqvist replaced Jonathan Strömberg. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mihai Oniga hit a great ball. After 71 minutes, Mihai Oniga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Rio and the Halkus Valkus BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Mihai Oniga got a free kick in the 71st minute. A nice corner shot did that Uku Vana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gigel Tilea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gigel Tilea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andy Pihlwall in the 80th minute. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Rio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Uku Vana was slow to take the kick. During this time Halkus Valkus BK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Uku Vana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea did a great save. Gigel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Alebom in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Sergiu Coșeriu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigel Tilea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Lundqvist in the 88th minute of play. Marcellus Baumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Păvăloae in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Malte Stenman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Andy Pihlwall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halkus Valkus BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Pihlwall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
