An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunter Waller in the 20th minute of play forced FC Fura Balizas's goalkeeper Long Gang Sen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Long Gang Sen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunter Waller in the 30th minute of the match. Jörg Hannemann made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Fura Balizas's Konrad Birkenhagen. Jânio Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rune Jarstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Ivan Moutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rune Jarstein was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gusmão Benevides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Moutinho came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Long Gang Sen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunter Waller in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Moutinho in the 59th minute of play. Hertha 1969's Benedikt Bensch was substituted for Emilio Melzer. In the 70th minute FC Fura Balizas were awarded a corner. Gusmão Benevides went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice moves Nils Hovermann could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Long Gang Sen however easily saved by the left post. FC Fura Balizas made a substitution. Hertha 1969's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gusmão Benevides ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC Fura Balizas's corner Gusmão Benevides fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rune Jarstein quite easily take care of the ball.

Hertha 1969's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
