With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Filip Garaj got control of the ball when Wojciech Kaczynski tried to sneak it across the goal line. AFK Petržalka's Filip Garaj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save AFK Petržalka from getting a goal against them. Dawid Rywin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Zedník in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Erik Jirka hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomáš Javorčík in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dawid Rywin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Zedník came free, but Dawid Rywin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Garaj made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Wojciech Kaczynski sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herbert Petka was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Kaczynski in the 51st minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Filip Garaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dawid Rywin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Mariusz Jop charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariusz Jop the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes GIOVANNI DZIADZIA got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Jop. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AFK Petržalka had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
