Remus Vuia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Liu Chao Xiao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Gigel Zăvoiu made a huge save. In the 10th minute Ragnar Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Zăvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club 23's goalkeeper Remus Vuia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roch Marud hit a great ball. U21 Romania's Gigel Zăvoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Romania from getting a goal against them. After 16 played minutes Ragnar Lönn rounded U21 Romania's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The audience was convinced that Daddy Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remus Vuia was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 25th minute Liu Chao Xiao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Zăvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U21 Romania getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cornel Neghină hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Liu Chao Xiao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club 23's supporters rose to their feet, but Liu Chao Xiao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Zăvoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Bogdan Udrişte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remus Vuia. Club 23's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Udrişte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Club 23's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Cotoi in the 38th minute of play. Gigel Zăvoiu made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ragnar Lönn sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ragnar Lönn got free with Gigel Zăvoiu in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Club 23 booed when U21 Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Neghină didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Liu Chao Xiao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club 23 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Romania were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Udrişte was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Bogdan Udrişte could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Remus Vuia however easily saved by the left post. 55 minutes into the game, U21 Romania's Bogdan Udrişte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remus Vuia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Romania's zone, Liu Chao Xiao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Zăvoiu came out of the goal and Liu Chao Xiao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Gregorio Uxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club 23's Stelian Orescu was substituted for Sergiu Panduru. After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Manuel Boeru got a free kick in the 66th minute. Liu Chao Xiao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club 23 made a substitution. Niculae Cângea replaced Qu Yan Nan. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club 23 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, U21 Romania's Bogdan Udrişte got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Remus Vuia. Bogdan Udrişte kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Lönn came free, but Gigel Zăvoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club 23's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niculae Cângea in the 89th minute. Niculae Cângea made a great header on Club 23's corner, it was just that U21 Romania's Gigel Zăvoiu managed to reach the ball for a save. Club 23's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Cotoi in the 90th minute of play. Gigel Zăvoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Lönn in the 98th minute of play.
