When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Arsenio Maldonado sped through Rathmore Lime Tree's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alix Geoffray. In the 16th minute, Ramzi Roulleau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramzi Roulleau in the 23rd minute of play forced ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Florentino Demario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Paul-Émile Brien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Paul-Émile Brien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florentino Demario was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Jakue in the 30th minute of play forced Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Alix Geoffray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alix Geoffray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Alix Geoffray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Jakue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alix Geoffray came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by ZORZAL01's Arsenio Maldonado. But to his dismay, Arsenio Maldonado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Florentino Demario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul-Émile Brien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Silvestre Jakue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alix Geoffray. Rathmore Lime Tree's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvestre Jakue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The Rathmore Lime Tree players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ZORZAL01 were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsenio Maldonado made a kick off. Honoré Villot hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rathmore Lime Tree's zone, Arsenio Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alix Geoffray came out of the goal and Arsenio Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alix Geoffray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Jakue in the 56th minute of the match. Rathmore Lime Tree made a substitution. Benoît Lamarre replaced Paul-Émile Brien. In the 79th minute, Arsenio Maldonado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the game, Ramzi Roulleau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Florentino Demario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ZORZAL01's Artemio Katia pulled a muscle in his leg after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 86 minutes, Flavian Garcon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rathmore Lime Tree and the ZORZAL01 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ZORZAL01 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ZORZAL01 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
