Errecaborda AFC were furious when Valko De Hond was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 7th minute, one of Errecaborda AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Errecaborda AFC. Edmond Verdun had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Honorio Vergas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 9 minutes into the game, OMONOIA's Honorio Vergas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmond Verdun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Faustino Marz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Edmond Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Prospero Jerardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Koios Panayiotopoulos was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, OMONOIA's Eduardo Zanette got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Prospero Jerardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koios Panayiotopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivón Echavarri in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Errecaborda AFC's Aírton Urbano got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Pastor Ado kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Koios Panayiotopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Tate, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, OMONOIA's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Terra came free, but Koios Panayiotopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Omiros Nomikos kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Koios Panayiotopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Jerardo in the 78th minute of play. Koios Panayiotopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the OMONOIA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Errecaborda AFC.
