Chigüires De Mogadiscio's Leonides Durango played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Elizardo in the 5th minute of play. Jake Leonard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Blajin, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. WINNING ELEVEN's Serafin Elizardo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 13th minute Serafin Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Durango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Elizardo in the 14th minute of play forced Chigüires De Mogadiscio's goalkeeper Leonides Durango to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Chigüires De Mogadiscio's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Elizardo came free, but Leonides Durango reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Blajin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jake Leonard. WINNING ELEVEN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gheorghe Blajin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 19 minutes, Yvan Rompen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chigüires De Mogadiscio and the WINNING ELEVEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chigüires De Mogadiscio getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Yvan Rompen hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Serafin Elizardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Durango was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Jake Leonard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Nabar in the 24th minute of play. Leonides Durango was a little too slow when Leonel Cordaro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-1. Jake Leonard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Blajin in the 29th minute of play. Leonel Cordaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Leonides Durango made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Chigüires De Mogadiscio's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Elizardo came free, but Leonides Durango reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Durango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yaar O'Connell charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yaar O'Connell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute Roberto Nabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Leonard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Nilsson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Roberto Nabar made a precise shot to the right of Jake Leonard. WINNING ELEVEN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Luke Skywalker kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Fred Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Durango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chigüires De Mogadiscio's Balu Bossaert was substituted for Jem Jajecznica. Jem Jajecznica hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Leonides Durango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when Chigüires De Mogadiscio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaar O'Connell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, WINNING ELEVEN's Hipolito Pirro got a free kick in the 89th minute. Leonides Durango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Ostadar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Neither WINNING ELEVEN or Chigüires De Mogadiscio succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.
After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Hernán Leandro made the kick off and play began. Leonides Durango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 104th minute, WINNING ELEVEN's Fred Nilsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonides Durango. Leonides Durango yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. WINNING ELEVEN were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chigüires De Mogadiscio for a fine match.
