Gillis Degens was a little too slow when Iustin Bâru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Yanick Winnepennincx came free, but Scarafia Ghost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gillis Degens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 20th minute of the match. Scarafia Ghost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent De Vadder in the 23rd minute of play. Scarafia Ghost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristen Spoelberghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If King 张林鹏 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wouter Gijselinckx in the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Olcay Orkun Gökekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. King 张林鹏 hit a great ball. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wouter Gijselinckx in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, KFC Welden's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Bâru came free, but Gillis Degens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iustin Bâru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raf De Weijngaert during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raf De Weijngaert hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, King 张林鹏 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Go Ahead Eagles's Panos Kaklamanos was substituted for Miltos Margaritidis. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristen Spoelberghe, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Bâru in the 65th minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernand De Spiegeleire got free with Scarafia Ghost in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, KFC Welden's goal looked a bit too open when King 张林鹏 came free, but Gillis Degens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Yanick Winnepennincx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 75th minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Go Ahead Eagles's King 张林鹏 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gillis Degens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 85th minute, Iustin Bâru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gillis Degens was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Gillis Degens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from King 张林鹏 in the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Iustin Bâru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gillis Degens was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After 93 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Dani Maranhense.

KFC Welden's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
