But to his dismay, Flavinho Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A collision led to Vęgoria Team getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Boguslaw Ikalewicz hit a great ball. Vęgoria Team's Bogdan Pilarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Sousa in the 37th minute of play. Bogdan Pilarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vęgoria Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Charlie Vandamme was slow to take the kick. During this time UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's players had a chance to rest. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's goalkeeper Vladimir Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Vaggelis Pavlidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vaggelis Pavlidis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 51st minute Vaggelis Pavlidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute Baba Moco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Pilarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
