Vintilă Ţopescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qi Xu De's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Puerto de los Botes Rocha's goal looked a bit too open when Trond Soltveit came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Níels Nesta in the 17th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Puerto de los Botes Rocha got a freekick which was hit by Žilvinas Daškevičius. Intxixu Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trond Soltveit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Níels Nesta in the 23rd minute of play forced Puerto de los Botes Rocha's goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the match, Guillerme Navedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vintilă Ţopescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Intxixu Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Ruzicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Níels Nesta in the 28th minute of play. Vintilă Ţopescu made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Žilvinas Daškevičius sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trond Soltveit in the 31st minute of play forced Puerto de los Botes Rocha's goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vintilă Ţopescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Žilvinas Daškevičius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 33 minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Guillerme Navedo came free, but Vintilă Ţopescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Puerto de los Botes Rocha booed when CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ostap Babych didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anatoliy Gryshko's late challenge caught a Puerto de los Botes Rocha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anatoliy Gryshko helped the player get up and apologised. Anatoliy Gryshko hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Qi Xu De in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vintilă Ţopescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The wind increased when Trond Soltveit made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, CSKA's Gilbert Ruzicki got a free kick in the 50th minute. Žilvinas Daškevičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Intxixu Porregimon came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by CSKA's Lyubomyr Yereschenko. But to his dismay, Lyubomyr Yereschenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Qi Xu De had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CSKA's Vintilă Ţopescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Librovich in the 65th minute of play. Puerto de los Botes Rocha's Intxixu Porregimon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Puerto de los Botes Rocha from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the match, Puerto de los Botes Rocha's goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trond Soltveit. The supporters of CSKA booed when Puerto de los Botes Rocha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillerme Navedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Puerto de los Botes Rocha getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Guillerme Navedo hit a great ball. The CSKA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CSKA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
