The wind increased when Qi Xu De made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by CSKA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Armendariz was slow to take the kick. During this time Puerto de los Botes Rocha's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Žilvinas Daškevičius heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Intxixu Porregimon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trond Soltveit in the 60th minute. Puerto de los Botes Rocha's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
