A nice corner shot did that Stefan Naidenov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vergil Belokapov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FireFighter-Skopje's Stefan Naidenov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vergil Belokapov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vergil Belokapov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of FireFighter-Skopje booed when FC Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tzonko Roev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Miladin Taushanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
