The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Batistuta in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Purcărete in the 7th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Mats Nyström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glenn Fyfe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Löfgren in the 11th minute of play. Glenn Fyfe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebben Johansson in the 13th minute of play. A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save A4p FC Gad from getting a goal against them. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Löfgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The corner led A4p FC Gad's Amador Martxel to fire away a dangerous shot which Anders Lundqvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Batistuta in the 25th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Larpe came free, but Glenn Fyfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Lundqvist having to interfere. A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save A4p FC Gad from getting a goal against them. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Dzierwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glenn Fyfe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Svensson in the 37th minute of the match. James Batistuta succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Joschi Hook came free, but Glenn Fyfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcin Pachucki charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcin Pachucki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to A4p FC Gad getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Marcin Pachucki hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when James Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist got control of the ball when Daniel Löfgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Svensson in the 54th minute of play forced A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper Glenn Fyfe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Batistuta in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Lundqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Golden Lions FC defense, James Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. The Golden Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. A4p FC Gad's Erasmo Damião was substituted for Amador Martxel. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. İbrahim Efe Topdemir replaced Markus Svensson. Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Batistuta in the 66th minute of the match. Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno was substituted for Mats Nyström. A4p FC Gad's Gică Busuioc was substituted for James Batistuta. In the 72nd minute Gică Busuioc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Dahlkvist. Anders Lundqvist made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Flavius Cândroveanu sent off a good shot on target. Flavius Cândroveanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Anders Lundqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Flavius Cândroveanu had several of the Golden Lions FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Anders Lundqvist as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Flavius Cândroveanu sped through Golden Lions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. Anders Lundqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gică Busuioc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 83 minute of play. In the 88th minute Bebben Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Fyfe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by King Scorpio in the 90th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavius Cândroveanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 91st playminute.

The A4p FC Gad players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
