In the 7th minute Matti Erkiner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Mayo's Heinz-Gerd Bonin threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guido Pagomari, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 16th minute of the game William Symons made a throw-in which Steve Oliver played forward. Matti Erkiner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Bird read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Matti Erkiner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Bird. Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matti Erkiner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Steve Oliver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Heinz-Gerd Bonin made a huge save. Samuel Farmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Heinz-Gerd Bonin made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Matti Erkiner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matti Erkiner made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Alexander Bird successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Heinz-Gerd Bonin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Pagomari in the 57th minute of the match. Alvar Nordgren kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Steve Oliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Bykowski in the 62nd minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Alexander Bird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz made a substitution. Alfons Tilmann replaced Matti Erkiner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Des Gill in the 83rd minute of play forced 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's goalkeeper Heinz-Gerd Bonin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvar Nordgren during the 86th minute.
