The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Illinois Bluewaters from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when 冯永宽 came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 冯永宽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roger Myles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emmanuel Pennington went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Maranhense in the 18th minute of play. Roger Myles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Dean in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Sherwood Petty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Illinois Bluewaters's 冯永宽, in the 32nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Illinois Bluewaters. Recolta Alamor's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 冯永宽 in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles got control of the ball when Emmanuel Pennington tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Damian Dean had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roger Myles. Illinois Bluewaters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Dean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Damian Dean made the kick off in the second half. Roger Myles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Dean in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Illinois Bluewaters defense, Damian Dean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Myles. The Illinois Bluewaters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Myles should have stopped the shot. Damian Dean took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Myles. Roger Myles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 68th minute, Damian Dean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Myles was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 72 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when 冯永宽 came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Myles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Pennington in the 76th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Illinois Bluewaters's 冯永宽 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nacho Gonzalez. That made the score 5-1 after 79 minutes of play. Illinois Bluewaters made a substitution. 高笑广 replaced Ward Mason. Wes Nichols hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Maranhense came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 冯永宽, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
