Albin Ånger hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Herminio Cresconio fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Zabaleta's protests and gave Herminio Cresconio a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Zabaleta! Arturo Guib had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Manuel Tonio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arturo Guib came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Gryffindor Lions's Manuel Tonio. But to his dismay, Manuel Tonio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 10 played minutes Gryffindor Lions got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Tonio. La Zabaleta's Arturo Guib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Tonio in the 12th minute of play. Ramon Maurino charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Maurino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of La Zabaleta booed when Gryffindor Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Maurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes Gryffindor Lions got a freekick which was hit by Deng Hong Ping. Wilfredo Irrintzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiq Muradov in the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Gaxan came free, but Arturo Guib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albin Ånger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arturo Guib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Vimaro in the 34th minute of the match. Arturo Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Gaxan in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Zabaleta's Teodosio Lop got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogo Vimaro in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Guib saved La Zabaleta from getting behind. After a rather tough play, La Zabaleta's Herminio Cresconio got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th match minute, Gryffindor Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Ihintza to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gryffindor Lions made a substitution. Froilan Astrada replaced Gogo Vimaro. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Elpidio Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gryffindor Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Remigio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Guib breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute La Zabaleta were awarded a corner. Amancio Ekain went to the cornerflag to take it. Ladislao Ihintza thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Wilfredo Irrintzi, a very annoying self made goal in the 61st minute which led to 1-1. 64 minutes in the game Alfred Baxter did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Amancio Ekain. Froilan Astrada might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Guib. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Astrada ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Guib made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Froilan Astrada sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the game, La Zabaleta's Ramiq Muradov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Irrintzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Arturo Guib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Astrada in the 82nd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Gryffindor Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Lop came free, but Wilfredo Irrintzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gryffindor Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Zabaleta the free kick. Froilan Astrada hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. La Zabaleta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
