Iker Txomin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Castulo in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Argentinos del Norte were awarded a corner. Florencio Oinatz went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Enzo Eusko heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Argentinos del Norte getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gaspar Laurendi hit a great ball. The long shot by Atilano Blasi in the 44th minute really tested Honorio Admon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 45th minute, Atilano Blasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
