The supporters of Los Patanes booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Los Patanes getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alejandro Fernández hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Los Patanes's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Escobar came free, but Vinícius Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Patanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Escobar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Idacio to strike the kick off in the second half. 1947 FC's Brian Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Rumaldo in the 56th minute of play. When Alejo Idacio came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the 1947 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Idacio couldn't finish the play. 1947 FC's Armando Fasoli was substituted for Andrzej Mlekodaj. Vinícius Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Los Patanes's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Fasoli came free, but Vinícius Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Bueno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Fasoli's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Teodoro Escobar took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Vinícius Bueno to make any attempt to save it. 1947 FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
