The audience thought a goal was coming when Taco Huizinga got free with Helge Hedström in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonatan Cesario took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Goyeneta. Carlos Goyeneta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gaviotas FC's Carlos Goyeneta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Cesario in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Jonatan Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Goyeneta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Cesario came free, but Carlos Goyeneta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Hedström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Taco Huizinga in the 19th minute. Clemente Claude's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Helge Hedström firmly grabbed it by the left post. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sportivo Sernova's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristobal Pepillo was slow to take the kick. During this time Gaviotas FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cristobal Pepillo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sportivo Sernova's Helge Hedström did a great save. Erasmo Sansone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Helge Hedström made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Claude got free with Helge Hedström in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 minutes Sportivo Sernova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristobal Pepillo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristobal Pepillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Helge Hedström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute, Clemente Claude left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaviotas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Silvanito Sangra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Goyeneta having to interfere. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Sernova's goalkeeper Helge Hedström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Cesario in the 51st minute of play forced Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Goyeneta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocencio Egoi got free with Carlos Goyeneta in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 played minutes Sportivo Sernova got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Cesario. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Ramon Dacio replaced Leon Eguzki. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Sportivo Sernova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Cesario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvanito Sangra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Goyeneta having to interfere. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Charro Moreno replaced Clemente Claude. Gaviotas FC's Isaac Chesus was substituted for Enzo Julian. 69 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Egoi came free, but Carlos Goyeneta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luisito Hever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaviotas FC's Carlos Goyeneta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Gaviotas FC from getting a goal against them. Carlos Goyeneta made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Inocencio Egoi sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st match minute, Gaviotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Otsoa to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Goyeneta made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Inocencio Egoi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Sportivo Sernova getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Silvanito Sangra hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Roy Focker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 93 minutes, Cristobal Pepillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaviotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Pepillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sportivo Sernova's Inocencio Egoi got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Gaviotas FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
