OLIMPIA SP's Samuca Travassos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Anaya in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Inge Marin came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Inge Marin came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira. Daniel Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho de Toledo in the 25th minute of play. Ezequiel Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Marin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Lobo Guará were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after OLIMPIA SP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glauco Tasso took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Sandrinho Machado managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 35th minute, Ezequiel Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inge Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 40th minute, Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Inge Marin. Inge Marin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. In the 45th minute, Ezequiel Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcinho de Toledo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Ezequiel Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when OLIMPIA SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Reimann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Lobo Guará from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inge Marin was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Lobo Guará's Aykut Adar was substituted for King Koopa. Samuca Travassos made in the 71st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lobo Guará's Willian Caca-Rato. 72 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inge Marin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as OLIMPIA SP's Marcinho de Toledo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Anaya. That made the score 5-1 after 75 minutes of play. Lobo Guará made a substitution. Ciro de Moraes replaced Ezequiel Pereira. Inge Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro de Moraes in the 95th minute of play.
