A nice corner shot did that Demetrio Cabanela got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sonny Alén quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 19th match minute, Gitarriu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Suwita Supriadi to maneuver through the defense. Dobri Karatotev might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Tipinski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dobri Karatotev ran back to his position shaking his head. Damian Tipinski made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Dobri Karatotev sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Gitarriu's zone, Dobri Karatotev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Tipinski came out of the goal and Dobri Karatotev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frankie Yankovich in the 37th minute of play forced La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Yankovich came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Dobri Karatotev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Damian Tipinski, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dobri Karatotev was the one to do the kick off. Suwita Supriadi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gitarriu getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eufrasio Ribeiro hit a great ball. Damian Tipinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Bergfelt, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Sonny Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernebe Sabugal in the 58th minute of play. Damian Tipinski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dobri Karatotev's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dobri Karatotev in the 63rd minute of play forced Gitarriu's goalkeeper Damian Tipinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frankie Yankovich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Sonny Alén made a huge save. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gitarriu's goalkeeper Damian Tipinski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damian Tipinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dobri Karatotev, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. La Cosa Nostra made a substitution. Maurício Mansilha replaced Dobri Karatotev. In the 74th minute of the match La Cosa Nostra got a corner. Gitarriu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hans Bergfelt ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Hans Bergfelt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damian Tipinski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mao Yang Yang kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of La Cosa Nostra booed when Gitarriu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eufrasio Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Cosa Nostra made a substitution. Agnaldo Reis replaced Mao Yang Yang. In the 79th minute, Eufrasio Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agnaldo Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damian Tipinski having to make a save. Maurício Mansilha scored 3-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damian Tipinski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Eufrasio Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gitarriu's protests and gave Eufrasio Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, Gitarriu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eufrasio Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Agnaldo Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cosa Nostra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agnaldo Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Mansilha in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Tipinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damian Tipinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Mansilha in the 92nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gitarriu defense, Maurício Mansilha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Tipinski. The Gitarriu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Tipinski should have stopped the shot.
