Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Linus Resentvig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galapagos Islands FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Betinho Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Resentvig in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Dennis Lindberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BK Nerysminne were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Galapagos Islands FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mark Era took the corner. After recieving a nice pass, Galapagos Islands FC's Niklas Möller tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Galapagos Islands FC's Dennis Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Gogea in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, BK Nerysminne's Eric Skog ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dennis Lindberg. Dennis Lindberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. BK Nerysminne's Tony Påk got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Dennis Lindberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxim Gogea. 40 minutes into the game, Gösta Lönn threw the ball into play from the sideline. BK Nerysminne's Stanimir Dragnev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Niklas Möller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betinho Arantes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Galapagos Islands FC made a substitution. Erik Lund replaced Niklas Möller. Galapagos Islands FC's Erik Beckeman was substituted for Taha Ali. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Resentvig was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Maxim Gogea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Nerysminne and the Galapagos Islands FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, BK Nerysminne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim Gogea to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Betinho Arantes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Linus Resentvig in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. BK Nerysminne's Sven Vennerlund was substituted for Eric Skog. BK Nerysminne's Stanimir Dragnev managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gösta Lönn in the 60 minute of the game. Dennis Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Gogea in the 63rd minute of play. Betinho Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Resentvig in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Galapagos Islands FC got a corner. BK Nerysminne's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Markus Åström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Markus Åström made a great header on Galapagos Islands FC's corner, it was just that BK Nerysminne's Betinho Arantes managed to reach the ball for a save. Betinho Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Resentvig in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Linus Resentvig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betinho Arantes was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Galapagos Islands FC defense, Sven Vennerlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Lindberg. The Galapagos Islands FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Lindberg should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Galapagos Islands FC's Markus Åström got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Maxim Gogea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Galapagos Islands FC's Dennis Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Gogea in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Maxim Gogea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Resentvig in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Galapagos Islands FC were awarded a corner. Markus Åström went to the cornerflag to take it. Erik Lund was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dennis Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Vennerlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Galapagos Islands FC defense, Maxim Gogea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Lindberg. The Galapagos Islands FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Lindberg should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Linus Resentvig in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betinho Arantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
