Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Vielva in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vellito Alguerdo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 11 played minutes NAGANO F.C got a freekick which was hit by Erk Hong. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ariel Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. NAGANO F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Batzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carqueja's Lars Batzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jari Alenius in the 21st minute of play. When Jari Alenius came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the NAGANO F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jari Alenius couldn't finish the play. Vellito Alguerdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Vielva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Cortez Olalde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elizardo Massana was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Vielva came free, but Vellito Alguerdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jari Alenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ariel Ortega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Carqueja defense, Jari Alenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Batzer. The Carqueja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Batzer should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Franco Garro threw the ball into play from the sideline. NAGANO F.C's Erk Hong quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 69 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Batzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carqueja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 93 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's Gabriel Batistuta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Batzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute Gabriel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Batzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carqueja players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for NAGANO F.C.
