The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon-Ander Echeverría got free with Antonio Giorgio in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ignatius Abancens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Oliveira having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match, Jon-Ander Echeverría got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonio Giorgio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Havier got free with Antonio Giorgio in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Havier came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Antonio Giorgio could save by the left post. José Augusto Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Rudkvist's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 31 minutes Platypus F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joannes Focquier who took care of the corner kick. Gabino Calvo charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabino Calvo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gabino Calvo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Bayern Boliviano's Håkan Rudkvist, in the 37th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bayern Boliviano. Platypus F.C.'s José Augusto Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignatius Abancens in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Jon-Ander Echeverría hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Antonio Giorgio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Havier in the 51st minute of the match. 51 minutes into the match, Bayern Boliviano's goal looked a bit too open when Gabino Calvo came free, but Antonio Giorgio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bayern Boliviano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
