In the 32nd minute of the match, Wang Di Hai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oscar Frascuelo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Txema Abadie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Paradorn Todor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nesor Abadie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Barça Salvadoreño FC's Rudi Bremke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Frascuelo. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. In the 44th match minute, Octavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nesor Abadie to maneuver through the defense. Paradorn Todor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txema Abadie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nesor Abadie in the 48th minute. After taking down the ball on Octavia's corner Nesor Abadie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paradorn Todor quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Iordanis Anastasiadis fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
