Locomotiva grena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Eurico Viana scored to the left of an out of position Raphael Negri, making the score, 1-1. In the 40th match minute, Locomotiva grena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Eger to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Paulo José Ferreira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raphael Negri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eurico Viana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Raphael Negri when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

In the 57th match minute, Locomotiva grena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Vallengren to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Green Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Precioso Barcaiztegui came free, but Marco Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Green Academy's Gerson Nascimento was substituted for Paulo José Ferreira. In the 82nd minute, Sixten Vallengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Green Academy booed when Locomotiva grena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixten Vallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Maurinho Abreu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Negri. Locomotiva grena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurinho Abreu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Green Academy's Thomás Garcia was substituted for Eurico Viana. A collision led to Green Academy getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Thomás Garcia hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Green Academy were victorious despite being under pressure from Locomotiva grena for much of the match.
