Despite this Edgard de Almeida quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão Medeiros in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinícius Sergipano saved Itaberaba from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Tepedino. In the 93rd minute André Luís Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
