Shi Feng Yun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tostão Motta's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 15 minutes into the match, São Wilson's goal looked a bit too open when Tite Pombo came free, but Shi Feng Yun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belmiro Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Silvinho Moraes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Motta in the 18th minute of play forced São Wilson's goalkeeper Shi Feng Yun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to São Wilson getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Enrique Garcia hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, São Wilson's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Sayveon came free, but Shi Feng Yun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shi Feng Yun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Tostão Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Feng Yun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Pirro came free, but Belmiro Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Garcia who took care of the corner kick. Enrique Garcia made a great header on São Wilson's corner, it was just that E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Belmiro Montenegro managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 36 minutes, Zé Carlos Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Wilson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Tostão Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shi Feng Yun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovanni Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Motta in the 44th minute of play forced São Wilson's goalkeeper Shi Feng Yun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horacio Sayveon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Horacio Sayveon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Shi Feng Yun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Tostão Motta put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Shi Feng Yun. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvinho Moraes in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belmiro Montenegro saved E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE from getting behind. Shi Feng Yun made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Horacio Sayveon sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st match minute, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Balasi to maneuver through the defense. São Wilson's Luiz Fabiano Teixeira was substituted for Jörg Michael. A collision led to E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Vinicio Balasi hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Enrique Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Wilson's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Belmiro Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 85th minute of play. Belmiro Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Belmiro Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shi Feng Yun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Motta in the 91st minute of play. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belmiro Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson ran back to his position shaking his head. When Zé Carlos Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the São Wilson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Antunes couldn't finish the play. Chants of E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as São Wilson had held the ball for most of the match.
