Duman Enginsoy kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, FC Buciumii's Pavel Balc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Leahu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samet Ağar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johan Gelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Felix Leahu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. YKE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Leahu should have stopped the shot. FC Buciumii's Roch Grondzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Ceaușescu in the 30th minute of play. Mugur Ceaușescu spun around in front of the goal 30 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Buciumii's goal. Felix Leahu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Balc in the 32nd minute of play. Pavel Balc struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Felix Leahu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Buciumii. Felix Leahu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Gelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Traian Brăiloiu made a kick off. Roch Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Brăiloiu in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Twan van Nistelrooij in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roch Grondzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felix Leahu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Balc in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, FC Buciumii's goal looked a bit too open when Twan van Nistelrooij came free, but Roch Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roch Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Twan van Nistelrooij in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Buciumii made a substitution. Dumitru Ghițulescu replaced Pavel Balc. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. YKE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dumitru Ghițulescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Buciumii's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Buciumii's corner Dumitru Ghițulescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felix Leahu quite easily take care of the ball. In the 76th minute Traian Brăiloiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Grondzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Buciumii were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after F.C. YKE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dumitru Ghițulescu took the corner. The corner led FC Buciumii's Dumitru Ghițulescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Felix Leahu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 83rd minute Yao Xing Chao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Grondzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Roch Grondzki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Yao Xing Chao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Twan van Nistelrooij's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roch Grondzki was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
