After 14 minutes En Avant Nikko's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Mastrocola who took care of the corner kick. In the 18th minute Armando Natalucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Derwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Armando Natalucci sped through En Avant Nikko's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silvestre Derwin. 26 minutes into the match, Gösta Sellberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dave Clemente. Glasgow Rangers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gösta Sellberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Souris in the 52nd minute of play forced Glasgow Rangers FC's goalkeeper Dave Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Gösta Sellberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ettore Placidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to En Avant Nikko getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Didier Têtu hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, En Avant Nikko was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djamel Malouda to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Derwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ettore Placidi, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Ettore Placidi took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Derwin. Silvestre Derwin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 83 minutes, Antonio Mastrocola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glasgow Rangers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Mastrocola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didier Têtu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Antonio Mastrocola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Derwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Derwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Placidi in the 87th minute of play. There was no doubt that Glasgow Rangers FC were the better team. Glasgow Rangers FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
