Pierrot Uyttebroeck hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Henri-Xavier Pauwels was slow to take the kick. During this time Pezerik's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Pierrot Uyttebroeck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidiu Adrian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mauro Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Shota Stopa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Pezerik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierrot Uyttebroeck to maneuver through the defense. Poli Timisoara's Horst-Peter Unterberger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Shota Stopa but with some difficulty. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Geeraerts in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland got a free kick in the 95th minute. Poli Timisoara were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
