Stefan Giertych made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Patrik Åström however managed to control. The supporters of Al-Norr booed when Woopbongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Sandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Paulino Mendez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Mats Holmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Al-Norr were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ola Håkansson was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Al-Norr's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Håkansson came free, but Mårten Ekström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Waller in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Mendez got free with Mats Holmgren in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Paulino Mendez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mats Holmgren, 0-4. The Al-Norr fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Mårten Ekström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Ola Håkansson made a precise shot to the right of Mårten Ekström. Al-Norr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Woopbongo's Mats Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Pihl in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Woopbongo's Rutger Billberg got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Woopbongo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Al-Norr were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
