Jörgen Odeens short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Baransel Uçuk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s goalkeeper Celal Ağca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baransel Uçuk made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Jörgen Odeen sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörgen Odeen in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baransel Uçuk saved Bigaspor from getting behind. Luciano Abraão lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Bigaspor a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s Celal Ağca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aybars Türeli in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vecdi Bedih's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baransel Uçuk was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The Bigaspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bigaspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
