Key Biscayne FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Ivan Ţopescu scored to the left of an out of position Lonnie Hurley, making the score, 1-0. Quintin Redd came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lonnie Hurley could save by the left post. In the 18th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Napier to maneuver through the defense. Key Biscayne FC's Urbano Diz got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quintin Redd's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Lonnie Hurley skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tommy Salgado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lonnie Hurley came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommy Salgado slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 39th minute. Dan Gheară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Diz in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lonnie Hurley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintin Redd in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Diz in the 54th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Dan Gheară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If 姜永洲 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, 姜永洲 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Lonnie Hurley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
