If Jörn Svartengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilen Abeitia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Jörn Svartengren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilen Abeitia. The goal made the score 1-0. Gilen Abeitia made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Jörn Svartengren sent off a good shot on target. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Abeitia in the 16th minute of play. Sebastian Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neron Abastas in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Inter de Guayaquil FC booed when Real Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cilio Abeita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ezequiel Palacios kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Jörn Svartengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. Real Potosí's Gilen Abeitia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Real Potosí from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Bela Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Gilen Abeitia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lorenzo Acutain struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Gilen Abeitia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. Real Potosí's Gilen Abeitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jörn Svartengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörn Svartengren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilen Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Real Potosí's Gustavo Quinteros got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Jörn Svartengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Jakub Ziombkowski replaced Victor Morales. 65 minutes into the match, Real Potosí's goal looked a bit too open when Éric Cantona came free, but Gilen Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Potosí were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Inter de Guayaquil FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Duarte Abarca took the corner. Jakub Ziombkowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilen Abeitia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jakub Ziombkowski ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Real Potosí defense, Jakub Ziombkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilen Abeitia. The Real Potosí fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilen Abeitia should have stopped the shot. Real Potosí made a substitution. Savion Abellaneda replaced Baldemer Camarasa. Real Potosí's Macerio Abaunza was substituted for Cilio Abeita. Gilen Abeitia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Ziombkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Éric Cantona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Gilen Abeitia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Potosí made a substitution. Marques Abenda replaced Neron Abastas. Sebastian Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bela Abeitia in the 94th minute of play.
