When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Nick Heesen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Borys Gruchacz to make any attempt to save it. Borys Gruchacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Heesen in the 17th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Gustavo Scarpa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Gustavo Scarpa put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Georg Hagberg. If Gustavo Scarpa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Georg Hagberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Scarpa in the 55th minute. Georg Hagberg made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Gustavo Scarpa sent off a good shot on target. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Scarpa in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Heesen came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Scarpa. With a little luck, Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg got control of the ball when Gustavo Scarpa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Scarpa took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Hagberg. Georg Hagberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Ben Steyns replaced Vitaliy Vorobey. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Mané Lara was substituted for Gustavo Scarpa. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Tostão Montenegro was substituted for Didi Cardozo. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Borys Gruchacz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Joinville United - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
