Rafael Martins made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Dan Kjellman sent off a good shot on target. Martijn August blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Martins having to make a save. Atlético da Colina's attentive Ref Bunsoy managed to snatch the ball when Válbson Almeida made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Kjellman got free with Rafael Martins in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 played minutes Dan Kjellman rounded Atlético da Colina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Rafael Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Mendes in the 38th minute of the match. Rafael Martins was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dan Kjellman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Atlético da Colina's Rafael Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Valentijn in the 64th minute of play. Joop Meder hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Atlético da Colina made a substitution. Diego Souza replaced Reinaldo Porto. 71 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's goal looked a bit too open when Iwan Valentijn came free, but Rafael Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Mendes in the 85th minute of play forced Atlético da Colina's goalkeeper Rafael Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrey Shevchenko's late challenge caught a FC Bal op het Dak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
