A collision led to Voskresensk FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Vladimir Safarov hit a great ball. Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Buccella in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdinando Buccella in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Akinfeev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gleb Sorokins short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Ariel Ponc to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 17 minutes, Ferdinando Buccella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Mitre City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinando Buccella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Villa Mitre City's Raul Argoitz was substituted for Flavio Lauro. Igor Akinfeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Fernendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32ndth minute of the game Feliciano Fernendo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Higinio Donio lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Voskresensk FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Villa Mitre City:s goal. Urbano Mendiko walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Villa Mitre City's Honorato Demesio was substituted for Feliciano Fernendo. Herminio Casomiro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evgeniy Fomichev in the 42nd minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Vladimir Safarov heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinando Buccella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 55 in the game by Honorato Demesio from a close distance when the talented Igor Akinfeev managed to make a qualified save. Voskresensk FC's players were relieved. Honorato Demesio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Roman Doronin made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Vladimir Safarov however managed to control. Ariel Ponc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Villa Mitre City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Voskresensk FC made a substitution. Maksim Ilyuhin replaced Fedor Ivanchuk. Villa Mitre City's Tiburcio Txanton was substituted for Benigno Ibañez. In the 81st minute Honorato Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Voskresensk FC got a freekick which was hit by Roman Doronin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gleb Sorokin during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Voskresensk FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
