The supporters of Merusca F&P booed when Chute de Ouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raúl Cabral made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Eric Simion sent off a good shot on target. Ivo Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raúl Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Raúl Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Simões in the 14th minute of the match. Chute de Ouro FC's Tor Echegoyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deyver Sonn in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deyver Sonn in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Echegoyen saved Chute de Ouro FC from getting behind. Merusca F&P's Raúl Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Simões in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Deyver Sonn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tor Echegoyen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P's Pedro Gaspar got a free kick in the 28th minute. With a little luck, Merusca F&P's Raúl Cabral got control of the ball when Eric Simion tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Eric Simion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ivo Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Chute de Ouro FC got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Godoi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deyver Sonn in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tor Echegoyen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivo Simões hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Raúl Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Simion in the 45th minute of play. The Chute de Ouro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merusca F&P were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deyver Sonn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raúl Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Simion in the 52nd minute of the match. Merusca F&P's Álvaro Pernambucano was substituted for Silvinho Mangueira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Simion in the 67th minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Raúl Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Aparecido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chute de Ouro FC's Naldo Godoi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Chute de Ouro FC defense, Sérgio das Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tor Echegoyen. The Chute de Ouro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tor Echegoyen should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Naldo Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tor Echegoyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio das Neves in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Merusca F&P booed when Chute de Ouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sérgio das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Simões came free, but Raúl Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Chute de Ouro FC got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Godoi. In the 84th minute, Sérgio das Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merusca F&P fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Merusca F&P's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Gaspar in the 89th minute. The corner ended in Pedro Gaspar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chute de Ouro FC's Tor Echegoyen did a great save. When Naldo Godoi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. A collision led to Chute de Ouro FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Naldo Godoi hit a great ball. Sérgio das Neves struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Tor Echegoyen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merusca F&P.

The Merusca F&P players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
