Gamus Rocha hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Peep Pronk might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peep Pronk ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the game, Silvestre Semeno threw the ball into play from the sideline. Playa Malvín's Zuberoa Artiaga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Fred Åkerström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Eyague read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Åkerström in the 15th minute of the match. Fred Åkerström took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulgencio Eyague. Fulgencio Eyague dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Castro came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Roberto Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peep Pronk in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira got control of the ball when Peep Pronk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peep Pronk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Roberto Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute AC LeX Luthor were awarded a corner. Rodion Nikitin went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Playa Malvín getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jabier Igual hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Fred Åkerström made the kick off in the second half. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peep Pronk in the 54th minute of play. If Fred Åkerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fulgencio Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Åkerström in the 56th minute of play. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peep Pronk, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Fred Åkerström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Eyague was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some careless play in the AC LeX Luthor defense, Fred Åkerström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Eyague. The AC LeX Luthor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Eyague should have stopped the shot. After 69 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Jabier Igual. AC LeX Luthor's Jose Galtero was substituted for Godfredo Oriche. Playa Malvín's Sesuldo Roque was substituted for Sandu Mândrilă. In the 70th match minute, Playa Malvín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jabier Igual to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Gamus Rocha got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Savion in the 79th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niva Espellosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Eyague having to make a save. Fulgencio Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niva Espellosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Playa Malvín's Niva Espellosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fulgencio Eyague. Fulgencio Eyague yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Ciuvică in the 86th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Ciuvică in the 87th minute of play. Sesuldo Roque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Eyague having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Ciuvică came free, but Zé Roberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Playa Malvín had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
