Benjamin Carberry started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frans Van Caubergen got free with Ludovic Malo in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waud De Geyter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cezar Petruescu's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Silver Squad AFC's Loid De Keuster slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ludovic Malo. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. With 24 minutes on the clock, Tamás Kerekes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 24 minutes into the game, one of AranyCsapat FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Loid De Keuster during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Silver Squad AFC got a freekick which was hit by Loid De Keuster. After 33 minutes, Cezar Petruescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AranyCsapat FC and the Silver Squad AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, AranyCsapat FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Petruescu to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Ludovic Malo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Simon Mihály might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waud De Geyter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Mihály ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Mihály in the 45th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tibor Makai made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Makai came free, but Waud De Geyter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as AranyCsapat FC's Jácint Lovász slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Waud De Geyter. That made the score 1-2 after 61 minutes of play. Jácint Földes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Izydor Czysta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludovic Malo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bror Litenboks in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Jácint Földes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludovic Malo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loid De Keuster in the 74th minute of play. Tibor Makai struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Waud De Geyter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AranyCsapat FC. In the 87th minute, Damazy Radzyminski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludovic Malo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Waud De Geyter made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Simon Mihály sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Squad AFC's zone, Levente Végh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waud De Geyter came out of the goal and Levente Végh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AranyCsapat FC booed when Silver Squad AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Van Caubergen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
