Michel Haaland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. After some careless play in the Errecaborda AFC defense, Aílton Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmond Verdun. The Errecaborda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmond Verdun should have stopped the shot. After 36 minutes of play, Errecaborda AFC's Joe Tate made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcell Barovero was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Guto Jorge fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roceira SC's protests and gave Guto Jorge a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Joe Tate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Errecaborda AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joe Tate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcell Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcell Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Roceira SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Errecaborda AFC were winning 1-2.

Roceira SC made a substitution. Hulk Speed replaced Dedê Oliveira. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Haaland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Pastor Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roceira SC's Marcell Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Rameriz in the 57th minute of play. Marcell Barovero made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Pastor Ado sent off a good shot on target.
