Luizinho Maldini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Honorio Admon. Argentinos del Norte's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute Enzo Eusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Renner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Eusko in the 17th minute of play forced FC Soldeu's goalkeeper Andy Renner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Renner having to interfere. Honorio Admon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darren Blewitt's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Scott Le Saux got free with Honorio Admon in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Argentinos del Norte's Honorio Admon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Argentinos del Norte from getting a goal against them. Darren Blewitt in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Honorio Admon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of FC Soldeu booed when Argentinos del Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 played minutes, FC Soldeu's Luizinho Maldini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Honorio Admon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Soldeu reached it. Argentinos del Norte's Börje Hamnberg was substituted for Cesar Jakobe. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Andy Renner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Honorio Admon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Blewitt in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Argentinos del Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Laurendi to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Scott Le Saux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Admon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darren Blewitt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 110th minute of the match, but Honorio Admon made a huge save. FC Soldeu's Andy Renner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Hamnberg in the 112th minute of play. The FC Soldeu players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

Everyone could clearly see that both Argentinos del Norte's and FC Soldeu's players was becoming tired in their legs when Argentinos del Norte's Domenico Gentili did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. In the 117th minute, Scott Le Saux made a precise shot to the right of Honorio Admon. Argentinos del Norte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Argentinos del Norte players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Soldeu.
