The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nascente do Leça's goalkeeper Frederico Vilalobos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If İskender Baki Sabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Campelo in the 14th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Tom Røise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes Åsnes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Severiano Campelo who took care of the corner kick. Frederico Vilalobos stood somewhat misplaced when İskender Baki Sabi came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 17 minute. Alexander Eltvik hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Nascente do Leça booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Eltvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Nascente do Leça's Frederico Vilalobos got control of the ball when İskender Baki Sabi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bogdan Gierasik was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nascente do Leça getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gervasio Duardo hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İskender Baki Sabi in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederico Vilalobos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frederico Vilalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İskender Baki Sabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severiano Campelo made a kick off. İskender Baki Sabi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Vilalobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Frederico Vilalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İskender Baki Sabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İskender Baki Sabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Nascente do Leça was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Molander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Pejman Zahedi made a precise shot to the right of Frederico Vilalobos. Nascente do Leça's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 74 minutes of play, Nascente do Leça's Severiano Campelo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tom Røise was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nascente do Leça's goalkeeper Frederico Vilalobos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute of the match Åsnes got a corner. Nascente do Leça's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kálmán Pádár ran over to the corner to take the kick. 88 minutes into the match, Nascente do Leça's goal looked a bit too open when İskender Baki Sabi came free, but Frederico Vilalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armando Raya fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nascente do Leça's protests and gave Armando Raya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Armando Raya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Vilalobos came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Åsnes's İskender Baki Sabi. But to his dismay, İskender Baki Sabi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.

Åsnes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
