An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry Jamieson in the 10th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Donato Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Javiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Javiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Dantas in the 17th minute of the match. Celso Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Milferio's Terry Jamieson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Maranhense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olivedos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Dantas in the 31st minute of play forced Milferio's goalkeeper Celso Javiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Milferio's Javier Cesario got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Donato Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Celso Javiar. Milferio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
