The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cordero Aberasturi during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xaiver Jacolet got free with Keanu Reeves in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Keanu Reeves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Johnny Ibarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constancio Jaque in the 42nd minute of the match. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Ecuador's Flavio Cifuentes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 94th minute Washington Piedrahita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keanu Reeves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yerko Van Dijk kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
